About Us

Our mission is to spread wellbeing at scale, using engaging, proven, and low-cost programs tailored to the needs of communities.

We are committed to maximizing the impact of our mental health programs. That’s why we’ve started with the communities of people who do good, and are exploring ways to scale our proven CBT Lab to reach the most underserved communities in Low- and Middle-Income Countries.

High-impact individuals struggle with mental wellbeing.

Wellbeing and resilience are crucial for clear thinking, productivity, and relationships - all tools we need to help others. But 15-30% of people in the Effective Altruism community likely suffer from mental health issues.

Our World in Data (2021)
Slate Star Codex Survey (2020)

There is a lack of adequate support opportunities.

In 2023, 74% of EA community members affected by mental health issues reported unmet needs. Most existing solutions are costly and not tailored to specific issues people face when tackling the world's most important problems.

EA Mental Health & Productivity Survey 2023

Effective support can unlock much more impact.

Poor mental health reduces productivity by up to 35%. We estimate therapy or a guided program such as ours can increase productivity by ~25% for ~1.5 years. That’s 8 full-time employees for every 100 people we support.
